"Is desire the meaning of life's existence?"

Curatorial Rationale

In the same way as these three works, I discuss the same key points of desire, love and relationship in my work, mainly through the desire to bring them together. Thus my main concept is about desire. Arthur Schopenhauer once said, "Man is always oscillating between desire and boredom; when a desire is not fulfilled, the man tries to satisfy it, and when it is satisfied, man gets bored and goes after the next desire." I also read a quote on the internet: "Man is what he is, full of desires." That is why I feel that desire is the most essential thing in man, that from birth man is caught in the abyss of satisfying his desires and satisfying the desires of others, and that until death there is nothing in life that is not driven by these two desires. Through my overall work and productive process, I am convinced that the key to desire is how to control it. Of course, what I want to discuss is how people should control their desire. In the past, society restricted people's desires, so in the Renaissance, there was Catholic asceticism; modern society is much freer, but there are still areas that are inviolable. Corruption,

depravity, the desires that follow the fall of man, or the foolish desire to be unfaithful to a partner, or the desire to kill a stranger, most of these desires come from temptation. But at the same time, I think some desires lead one in a good direction. I think certain desires lead one in a good direction. A girl who has a desire to be beautiful does not need to try desperately to restrain that desire, it could come true through losing weight and putting on make-up or having sensible plastic surgery. Or there is a desire for material things, which makes a person motivated. Despite the seven desires people have, without them they are no different from a salted fish, a simple reproductive creature. Desire is one of the most primitive and basic instincts of all the animals in the world, which is why it is a particularly interesting topic to explore.
